September 2014

September 1, 2014 By Kyle 8 Comments

My wonderful new website is offically launched! For a non-visual, non-designery type person like me, having a website professionally designed always seemed a bit daunting. All those questions about what I want it to look like, how I want stuff to work, whether I wanted to include links to bookshops etc etc. Especially when my answer to all these questions was – “I don’t know!” In the end it was actually quite painless, thanks to Doug from ArtsNet. Now it’s all up and running and looking rather fetching – plus, more importantly, working wonderfully.

To celebrate I’m giving away 10 books! (More or less of your choice – unfortunately I don’t have extra copies of all my books anymore. But who’s going to complain about a free book, eh?) There are two ways to enter. If you’re already following my Facebook page, simply leave a comment on this post saying which book you’d like to win. If you’re not following my Facebook page, simply follow the link to my page, “like” it and post a note on telling me which book you’d like to win. 5 books to be given away to each group. Entries close September 15.

Thanks to everyone for your support!

Website looks Great! If possible I would like a copy of Hoppleplop. But any other would also be great.

Hi Margaret. Glad you like it! I’m afraid The Hoppleplop is out of print and I don’t have any spare copies at all. I foolishly gave away all my author copies and never bought extra ones because I thought it would stick around. But I’m currently looking at publishing it myself with the illustrator. I’ll keep you informed. In the meantime, good luck with the prize draw and thanks for your support. Kyle

Our copy of Kiss Kiss Yuck Yuck has been borrowed over 50 times and is looking decidedly worse for wear.

Melu for me please. I love this story, so gently clever and subtle. One to be shared and reshared. New website looks great, Kyle 🙂

I really like the look of the book you have on your facebook page – Dragon Knight. I have a big group of reluctant boy readers in my class and think this looks like it could hook them into a good book.

So many great books, if I had to choose from what I dont have (for the kids ha ha) it would be Luther and the Cloud-maker or Melu or Moon Cow. Nice website!

    Congratulations on this wonderful website!
Old Huhu is one of my favorites and still brings a tear to the eye despite many readings but my copy of No Room for a Mouse is worn out..
Looking forward to many more favorites!

Your new web site looks great Kyle, with some good information. The Booth Boys would love to win any of your great books!
They love to read and we still recommend Dinosaur Rescue to everyone.
